Engineer, children’s author and wandering dreamer. I am the obedient servant to a couple of stubborn Shih Tzus on the island of Guernsey. My writing is a reflection of myself and the world around us, with just a dash of the fantastic thrown in for good measure.

I’ve been writing since I was about 14 when I was smacked in the face by inspiration while staring out at the Hanois lighthouse. While working as an industry trainer, I found a love for teaching. For taking complex subjects and finding a way to make them accesible to everyone. A friend suggested I take that passion and put it into my writing.

And so began my adventure into the world of children’s books.Five years ago I started working on a series following the adventures of the friendly and clever witch called Henrietta Hedgekin. Set on the island of Gillyford, the stories follow Henrietta as she helps her young friends, Ben and Tilly. The first book, Friendship, will soon be available from Austin Macauley Publishing.
